HCAP Programs

HCAP offers programs for students in the following main areas:

HCAP Asian American Communities Internship Program – A community-based internship program at Asian/Asian American-serving organizations in NYC

Multilingual Learners Program – Academic support for students with multilingual backgrounds through courses, summer and winter seminars, and workshops on academic reading, writing, and presenting.

Mental Health Program – Outreach events, courses centered on AAPI communities and mental health, referrals with NYC community mental health centers, and collaboration with departments and services at Hunter College.

Research Skills Program – Research skills workshops, courses centered on theories and methods for doing research with AAPI communities in New York City, undergraduate research assistantships, and opportunities for mentorship and connection with Hunter College’s AAPI faculty.

Transfer Pipeline Program – Peer mentorship, resources, and community building programs for incoming transfer students to Hunter College.

Financial Literacy Program – Workshops that provide skills and knowledge to help students manage their personal finances in a way that supports their academic and life goals.
