Have you always wanted to write about your life but didn’t know where to begin? Join writer Bushra Rehman for a series of creative writing workshops in which we will explore our relationship to this vibrant, resilient metropolis we may call home. Together, we will generate new writing, practice techniques for revision, overcome writing blocks, and celebrate our creativity. Open to all Hunter & BMCC undergraduate students.

SEMINAR FORMAT
Writing Workshops: Tuesday and Wednesday (7/11, 7/12, 7/18, 7/19, 7/25, 7/26) at 11am to 1pm.

About the instructor: Bushra Rehman’s newest novel, Roses, in the Mouth of a Lion, is set in 1980s Queens and centers around the idea of friendship and queer desire. It was chosen as a Best Book and Editor’s Choice by The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, People Magazine, Buzzfeed, Ms. Magazine and more.
