Apply by May 27th (Deadline Extended): Summer Seminar: Online Interviewing as an Asian American

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Online interviewing is an increasingly common practice for jobs, internships, and admissions to graduate/professional programs. In this online series, students will explore stereotypes about Asian Americans in the workplace, learn and practice strategies for online interviewing, and receive feedback from mock interviews. During the workshops, students will have opportunities to hear from Asian American professionals on how they found fulfilling careers while navigating their identities in the workplace.

COURSE FORMAT
There are 5 online workshops and 2 mock interviews that are scheduled individually pre- and post-workshops.You must actively and fully participate in ALL workshops and mock interviews. Students will receive a CDS/HCAP certificate of completion at the end.

Workshops meet online on Mondays and Thursdays, 6/6, 6/9, 6/13, 6/16, and 6/23, from 11am to 1pm.

If accepted to the seminar, you will receive instructions about the first mock interview, which will be scheduled on the week before the first workshop. The second mock interview is scheduled on the week after the last workshop.

Class is capped at 20 students, but there will be a waitlist. This seminar will prioritize applicants who are current Hunter/BMCC students and then students who graduated in spring 2022.
