HCAP Programs

HCAP offers programs for students in the following main areas:

Multilingual Learners Program – Academic support for students with multilingual backgrounds and free creative writing and online interviewing seminars offered each summer and winter.

Mental Health Program –  Events to de-stigmatize mental health, courses centered on Asian American communities and mental health, referrals to Hunter’s on-campus counseling and wellness center and NYC community mental health centers, and collaboration with departments and services at Hunter College.

Research Skills Program – Research skills workshops, courses centered on theories and methods for doing research with Asian American communities in New York City, undergraduate research assistantships, and opportunities for mentorship and connection with Hunter College’s Asian American faculty.

Transfer Pipeline Program – Peer mentorship, resources, and community building programs for incoming transfer students to Hunter College.

Financial Literacy Program – Workshops that provide skills and knowledge to help students manage their personal finances in a way that supports their academic and life goals.

HCAP offers programs for faculty through our ABI Faculty Seminar Series, open to part-time and full-time Hunter College and Borough of Manhattan Community College faculty.
