Did you know that this year marks 15 years since Congress established the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) program? The goal of this was and is to improve the availability and quality of postsecondary education programs to support low-income, first generation Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students. In celebration of the 15th anniversary of AANAPISI Week, we asked members of the HCAP and ABI teams why they support AANAPISIs. Check out this post and scroll to see what our staff and faculty at Hunter and BMCC have to say with a special feature from our ABI mascot! #AANAPISI #AANAPISI15 #AANAPISIWeek @apiascholars
